The preset list with reminders for water, eye breaks, jaw clenching and stretching, each showing its next time

Stop setting dozens of alarms every half hour

With a typical alarm app, frequent reminders mean lining up alarms for 9:00, 9:30, 10:00 and on. They ring on weekends too, and switching each one off gets old fast. With Repeat Notification, you set "09:00 to 18:00, every 30 minutes, weekdays" once. It reminds you only during those hours and stops when they're over.

The preset editor with name, time range, interval and days filled in, listing 33 notifications from 06:00 to 22:00

Set your active hours and interval, and you're done

Choose a name, a time range, an interval and days, and the day's notification times appear right away. Every 30 minutes from 06:00 to 22:00 is 33 reminders, set in one go.

Start from a template such as water, eye breaks (20-20-20), jaw-clenching checks or stretching, one tap each, and you're set up the day you install it.

Pick an interval from the list or enter any number of minutes. Day patterns such as "Weekdays" and "Every day" are one tap too.

A notification showing today's progress, with a button to skip the next one

Reliable delivery, even on silent or after a reboot

With sound off at the office, you still get a vibration. Each notification shows how far along the day you are, such as "Water · 5 / 12 today". If a reminder doesn't need sound or vibration at all, set it to silent. The notification still shows up.

Reminders due at the same time arrive one after another. After a device reboot or an app update, every reminder is registered again automatically. And if one is ever missed, reminders resume on their own from the next one, and the app lets you know on the preset list.

Not sure your reminders are getting through? Open "Check notifications" in Settings and run a delivery test with the app closed. It's included in the free version.

Android settings such as notification permission and battery optimization are handled from the "Notification setup" checklist on the preset list. On some phones, it also walks you through the manufacturer's own settings.

The preset list in the dark theme

A clear overview, and one-tap pause for meetingsFree

The list shows each next reminder and how long until it. A dark theme follows your device, or stays locked to light or dark.

When a meeting or a movie comes up, pause every reminder at once with one tap, from the app or from Android's Quick Settings panel.

Drag to reorder, swipe to delete. Choose 12-hour or 24-hour time.

Two widgets on the home screen: a small one with "Stretch" and its switch, and a wide one with "Hydration", next at 10:00 AM, 4/25 today, and its switch

On or off, right from your home screenPremium

Add a widget, and the next reminder time and today's count are there whenever you look at your home screen. Heading out and want a day off from posture checks? Switch that reminder off right there, without opening the app.

Pick from two sizes to fit the space you have: a wide one that also shows the next time and the count, and a small one with just the name and a switch.

Each widget shows one reminder. Place a few side by side if you like.

Tell reminders apart by vibration, without lookingPremium

Premium lets you pick a vibration pattern and a sound for each reminder. The patterns differ clearly in rhythm, so with your phone in your pocket you can tell "that's the posture check" without looking. Every pattern has a Try button, even on the free version.

You can also give one preset several time ranges, such as skipping lunch from 12:00 to 13:00, mute it for the next hour, or skip just the next reminder. Write your own notification message, too.

Preset colors are free, so you can tell reminders apart at a glance in the list. Every Premium feature is visible from the start, so you can unlock it with a one-time purchase only when you need it.

FAQ

Notifications don't arrive.

Start with "Check notifications" in Settings. It looks for settings that may be stopping your reminders and takes you to them, and its delivery test checks whether reminders arrive with the app closed (free version included). The app needs three things: notification permission (Android 13 and later), the "Alarms & reminders" permission (must be granted manually on Android 14 and later), and exclusion from battery optimization. If anything is missing, the "Notification setup" checklist at the top of the preset list walks you through it. On some phones, it also shows steps for the manufacturer's own settings.

Will I notice reminders with my phone on silent?

Yes. Even with the sound off, the app alerts you with vibration. Premium lets you choose from multiple vibration patterns; the free version uses the default short pulse. The Try button lets you feel any pattern first, even on the free version. And if you'd rather a reminder make no sound or vibration at all, set it to silent in the editor. The notification still shows up, and this works on the free version too.

What is the difference between "one-shot" and "24-hour repeating"?

"One-shot" notifies you once at the start time. "24-hour repeating" is what you get when the start and end times are the same: the app keeps notifying you all day at the chosen interval. Otherwise, it notifies you at every interval between the start and end times only.

What does Premium include, and how much is it?

The free version gives you 2 presets, 1 time range each and the default vibration, with every core reminder feature available. Silent mode, the dark theme, pausing all reminders at once (including the Quick Settings tile), the test notification, "Check notifications" and the Try button for vibration patterns are free as well. Premium is a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited presets, multiple time ranges, multiple vibration patterns, per-preset sounds, a notification message body, per-preset temporary mute, the Skip action and home screen widgets. The price is shown in your local currency on Google Play.

Do I lose my settings after a reboot or an app update?

No. After a reboot or an update, the app automatically re-registers every enabled preset. If your phone's settings keep reminders from resuming after a reboot, the app lets you know on the preset list, and "Check notifications" shows what to look at.

Does the app collect any data?

No. Your reminders and settings stay on your device, and minimalab never collects them. No account is required, and there are no ads. The Premium purchase is handled entirely by Google Play, so we never receive your payment details. "Tell the developer" in "Check notifications" only opens an email draft with your phone model and the check results. You decide whether to send it, and it never includes reminder names or messages. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not at the moment. Repeat Notification is available for Android only.

Supported OS: Android 8.0 (Oreo) and later

Pricing: free, with additional features as a one-time in-app purchase (price shown in your local currency on Google Play)
